In the prestigious Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, located at 2220 Sacramento Street (the middle home above), is a historic 1887 Queen Anne mansion for sale for $4.25 million. It is a registered city landmark and was once known as the Chambers mansion, named after its first owner, Richard Chambers, a silver mine tycoon and U.S. senator. It the 1970’s, it became the Mansions Hotel and in 2002, it was converted into two large homes, and restored to its former glory.
As with any house, this one has an “issue” — it’s haunted. According to the Wall Street Journal, there have been reports of windows and doors opening and closing, lights going on and off and sudden drops in temperature. Ghost chasers and believers of the supernatural love a good ghost story and this house has one.
