5339 E Lafayette Blvd, Phoenix AZ
For sale: $3.4 million

There are some homes that have basements filled with model trains and tracks. This Arizona home comes with its own 15-passenger train that winds around its two-acre property.

All aboard!

The train isn’t the only unusual part of the Arcadia-neighborhood residence. The grounds also feature a three-story tree house, a diving pool with rock-slide waterfall, and a tennis court.

Previous owners installed the train and tree house, but the current owners have always used the train to take guests on property tours, said listing agent Libby Cohen of Walt Danley Realty.

The rest of the property is just as “magical,” Cohen said. “The house sits on over two acres of fully manicured lawns featuring fountains, a koi pond, and a stream, along with multiple citrus trees and gorgeous flower beds.”

A long driveway, lined with 100-year-old cypress trees, leads to the main house. It was one of the first homes in the area, originally built in the late 1890s.

Constructed of adobe block, the home was substantially remodeled in the 1990s to update all of the existing systems.

Despite the renovations, the house still retains its original, unique charm. Heavy wood beams crisscross the ceilings, carved wood doors sit at the entry and most of the flooring is a pale flagstone or neutral Mexican tile.

Measuring 6,421 square feet, the house has 5 bedrooms and 6 baths. En-suite guest rooms are connected to the home by a breezeway. The master suite includes a sitting room, his-and-her closets, a steam shower, and exercise room.

I have heard of a car recently that came with the sale of a house, but never a train. This actually sparks some creativity within me to create more incentives to sell along with real estate.

You can have a look of your whole property by this train and can enjoy the small trip. I wish i could have this train for my RTM home.
