Interior Photos Found for W’s House in Dallas
By: Diane Tuman, Zillow Content Manager | May 20, 2009
Our good friend Candy Evans over at DallasDirt Blog tipped us off that there are interior photos of the new home of former President George W. Bush and wife, Laura.
Evidently, the Bushes’ new home, located at 10141 Daria Place, Dallas, TX 75229, was never officially on the market when they purchased it, but lo and behold, interior photos have surfaced from an April 2007 sales brochure, according to Preston Hollow News:
The asking price listed on the brochure was set at $3.95 million. The loan issued for the home in October 2008 was $3,074,239, according to North Texas Real Estate Information Systems. The home’s market value is appraised at $2.08 million, according to Dallas Central Appraisal District.
Here are photos of the interior, taken from the brochure, courtesy People Newspapers. The quality of the photos is a little scratchy, but at least you can get a sense of the interior space. And no, the furnishings are not from the Bush family — these are the staged pieces.
By the way, in the mid-80’s, the Bushes’ lived at 6029 Northwood Rd, Dallas, TX, 75225.

Even though I wasn’t happy about Bush’s lack of a border protection policy and the bailout BS he started, I’m glad he has such nice digs.
However, when are all of you left and right, DEMS and REPUBS going to stop with the back bitting and just realize we are ALL AMERICANS with differing opinions?
Both the Democrats and Republicans are headed for BIGGER government. If that’s what you think we need to FIX all our problems, you are mistaken! Why do you think our forefathers fought the Revolutionary war for? They didn’t want a BIG government taxing the crap out of them and having control of their lives!
If you are just a pacifist wussy who wants to live on government handouts, then visit some other countries that have tried it. It doesn’t work, and this country didn’t get to be as great as it is that way.
I’m not going to criticize the current president.
The fact that he was elected is proof that the majority of voters are just not educated enough in economics and history to know that we are headed the wrong way. It’s not about Democrat or Republican, it’s abut knowing the difference between Right and Wrong, Wishful thinking and reality.

Congratulations on your new home, President and Mrs. Bush. I wish you all the best and hope you enjoy your private citizen lives. Thanks for taking good care of the United States during your time in office - and thank you Mrs. Bush, a First Lady with class and dignity. May God bless you both and keep you close all the days of your lives - John Barsevich, Woodbury, Connecticut.

WELCOME HOME!!!! I’m so glad you’re back in Dallas–bet you are too! Your home is beautiful and I know you’ve enjoyed fixing it up. I miss you being in office–I always felt safer with you in the White House and in charge!

Great job President Bush no attacks after 9/11
That is a blessing and you are going to be rewarded in history for that. The new home is great. You and Laura are class acts unlike the current administration and blubbering idiots posting here. Enjoy your home and relax as we will need you to do great things in the future like your father.
Balming Bush goes only so far until you wake upo and smell the coffee of socialism and unemployment!

This looks like a good house for The Worst President Ever. It has lots of mirrors and very few bookshelves.

Was it an REO?

Why would the Bush family pay 30% more than the value of their home? That 30% more would have been given to Charity for assistance to some homeowners whose houses were foreclosed due to bad economy.
My “two cents” for our country: let us not fight any more wars. Let us call back all our troops and rebuild our country with all the money appropriated for the wars. The earlier we stop fighting, the sooner we can recover from the economic mess.

House is appraised for 2M and purchased for 3.5+M? Good ol’ boy cronyism and bad judgment seem to be a continuing thread……….

LEARN TO READ AMERICA AND UNDERSTAND!!!! CORRECT SPELLING WOULD BE NICE ALSO.
Go to the top of this blog and you will see it stated that Candy Evans of Dallas Dirt Blog tipped Zillow Blog to the fact that there were photos of the Bushes new home. These were from taken from a sales brochure. The asking price was over 3 million and the appraised value was over 2 million. It does not say what the Bushes actually paid. The blog also states “the furnishing are not from the Bush family–these are staged pieces” (for selling purposes).
LEARN TO READ AMERICA AND UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU READ. CORRECT SPELLING WOULD ALSO BE NICE.

I think that the house is rather conservative looking and very epensive. I’ve seen better on HGTV.

Welcome home Mr. President. I sure am glad to see you and Mrs. Bush back in Dallas. ‘Happy trails to you’ both. Sincerely, LWS.

RE: Learn To Read America:
YOU, yourself, missed an important point in the afore mentioned blog…. “The loan issued for the home in October 2008 was $3,074,239, according to North Texas Real Estate Information Systems.” And the home’s market value is appraised for $2.08 million. Because a loan for $3M was issued - one has to assume that this was the Bush loan. Thereby an overpayment for said property.
And if any of you think the Bushs are going to read any of this dribble (or have the time for this nonsense), then perhaps you’d like to join Peter Pan in Never,Never Land.
This is a real estate site! Take the rest of this and stick on Rush Limbaugh’s site (or anywhere else for that matter). Right wing, left wing, broken wing, wing and a prayer - I don’t care.

President Bush deserves a bigger house. This is like a little shack, why live so low profile? Who could’ve thought the country would be in such terrible shape under Obama. It is apparent the best is behind us in America.

Thank you Mr. President for your service and your commitment to the country. Don’t listen to any of those who have absolutely no idea what it’s like to be president. You did a fantastic job and I’m so glad for me and my family that you were our leader. At least you’ve held up the standards and honor of being President, unlike the most current occupant of the White House. Mr. Obama may be liked, but he’s no leader. He has absolutely no experience and no reason why he’s there, other than being different. Can’t win them all I guess. God Bless to you and your family. Again, thank you for serving.
