Introducing Virtual Sold Sign™ Program for Brokerages

Today is the official launch of our free Zillow Listings Feed program for brokerages, and we’re excited to name a bunch of inaugural partners, totaling close to half a million for-sale listings on the site in the next week. We’ll be adding more partners and more listings soon.
We’re also announcing an entirely new concept for brokerages, something we call our Virtual Sold Sign™ program (VSS). The concept is simple: imagine if as an agent or brokerage you could hang a “sold” sign on every home you’ve sold in a neighborhood — and keep it there long after the transaction is done. With VSS, brokerages with listings feeds can choose to have their branding and the agent’s contact information live on the Zillow Home Details page of all sold homes, as well as in Zillow map-based searches - reaching the 4 million people who search for homes every month. (We will also be adding this for individual agents who manually add listings to the site). VSS is set to launch in the coming months and like listing a for-sale home on Zillow, it’s free to participate.
Zillow CEO Rich Barton will talk more about Listings Feeds and the Virtual Sold Sign program on a panel at 1:30 today at the National Association of Realtors 2007 Expo & Conference in Las Vegas.
