Janet Jackson Asking $35K Monthly for Central Park Apartment
There’s nothing “Nasty” about trying to get top dollar for your luxury apartment in the heart of midtown Manhattan, even if you’re Janet Jackson, who not only has her own stash of cash but is married to a billionaire.
The singer bought unit No. 34-A back in 1998 for $9.8 million. According to The Real Deal, Jackson’s 2.093-square-foot pad is owned by her Puffy Trust.
The 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom unit sits on the 34th floor with floor-to-ceiling windows flooding it with light and expansive views of Central Park. The unit is being rented furnished or unfurnished, and a new tenant will have use of the amenities inside Trump International, including pool, spa, maid service, valet parking and 24-hour room service from the celebrated chefs at Jean Georges.
While Jackson seeks a new tenant to occupy her luxury Manhattan apartment, she is not lacking for other places to crash. Al Mana is a Qatari businessman who is said to have at least three houses in three different countries.
The couple confirmed their marriage a year ago after rumors swirled they were planning a lavish wedding. Instead, the pair were wed in a quiet, private ceremony — a prelude to the news that the singer is going to officially retire from the entertainment industry.
