Jesse Metcalfe’s Home Re-listed for Sale
Jesse Metcalfe’s home is back on the Beverly Glen real estate market as an active listing. The “Desperate Housewives” star first listed the home in February 2011, according to the L.A. Times, and listing data shows that he let the house slip off the market.
This time around, Metcalfe has switched brokerages, but he has not lowered the price from the $2.2 million he purchased it for in 2008. Although Beverly Glen is one of the priciest hoods of L.A.— median Beverly Glen home values check in at $1,221,300 — that’s still down from 2008 when the median home values hit around $1.6 million.
Metcalfe is no stranger to the wheelings and dealings of celebrity real estate. According to The Real Estalker, Metcalfe owned a 5-bedroom house in the Beachwood Canyon area from 2004 to 2008, which he sold for $1,495,000. Prior to that, he briefly owned a two-bedroom Sunset Drive house that he sold for a profit to “That 70′s Show” actor Topher Grace.
Metcalfe made his Hollywood debut on the soap opera “Passions,” then moving to a role as the hunky gardener in “Desperate Housewives.” Following that, he’s had a few other roles, including spots in movies “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt” and “John Tucker Must Die” as well as the short-lived TV series “Chase.”
Metcalfe’s Mediterranean-style home was built in 1999 on a gated .20-acre lot on Beverly Drive. The 3-bedroom, 3-bath home has 2,000 square feet of living space filled “with style and detail.” Leaded windows, a stone fireplace, hand-hewn tiles and hardwood floors lend character to the newer built home. Outside, the backyard is extensively landscaped, featuring stone pathways, a stone hot tub with waterfall, koi pond and patio space with built-in barbecue. A guest house on the property has its own private entrance.
The listing is held by Michael Dronge of Keller Williams Beverly Hills Realty.
