An enormously private Spanish villa tucked away on the Bird Streets, accessed by a rear entrance and surrounded by a tall hedge could only be owned by Jodie Foster, a star as well known for her press avoidance as for her film work.
Foster’s home at 9219 Flicker Way, Los Angeles, CA 90069 first hit the market in June with a $6.399 million price tag. Recently the home received a price cut, dropping the listing amount to $5.995 million.
Property records show that the “Silence of the Lambs” star bought the home in 1997 and put quite of bit of work into it before listing in 2013. Despite the overhaul on the home — which included updating the kitchen, media room and master suite — the house still retains the bones of its 1930s Spanish style: dark, wood ceiling beams, bay windows and “charming” balconies. Measuring 6,060 square feet, the house has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
Outside, the home’s especially private courtyard is blocked by hedges and includes a pool.
Last year Foster bought an $11.75 million Beverly Hills home, which is likely her primary residence.
The listing is held by David Kramer of Hilton & Hyland.
