The onetime home of actress Julie Andrews sold last week for $5.15 million. Located in Beverly Glen, the family compound was owned by movie producer Stacey Sher and her husband, musician Kerry Brown, who listed it in the spring for $5.795 million, according to the LA Times.
Designed by Wallace Neff and built in 1948, the home is located at 9531 Hidden Valley Rd, Beverly Hills, CA 90210. Sher and Brown bought the home in 2000 for $2.91 million and extensively renovated the home, leading to stories in both Hip Hollywood Homes and Architectural Digest.
Situated behind gates on a “guard-gated street mostly inhabited by celebrities,” the home boasts a number of star-worthy amenities, including a zen garden, pool, tennis court, gym, screening room and sports court. The soundproof guest room was once a recording studio that recorded artists Courtney Love, Ziggy Marley and the soundtracks for the films “P.S. I Love You” and “Death to Smoochy,” reports the LA Times.
Measuring 6,557 square feet, the 3-bedroom, 4-bath home sits on just under an acre.
