Since this blog is here to help consumers I will be providing a series on helping homeowners who are having problems making ends meet in this tough market. While this information might not be for you because most on Zillow are very informed borrowers and future homeowners but we all may know someone in need of help. Please pass this information on those who need it.
FHA has an excellent FACT SHEET. The HOPE for Homeowners program will refinance mortgage for borrowers who are having difficulty making their payments, but can afford a new loan insured by HUD’s Federal Housing Administration. The program started on October 1st and runs through September 2011.
If you have a Fannie Mae Loan and are in need of help you will need this fact sheet. But I will post another blog with more details.
Each of these programs are designed for homeownership preservation.
