Using Vinegar to Clean Your Properties
Cleaning products sometimes have lots of chemicals that are harsh or abrasive. However, before you reach for that spray or cleaner, consider using vinegar for your cleaning needs. It’s a greener, non-toxic, and all natural cleaner that would be better for the environment and for your residents. You can use your green cleaning practices to attract prospective renters.
You can use vinegar to clean nearly every aspect of your apartment complex. Purchase 100% pure white vinegar to maximize your cleaning efforts. Here are a few ways you could use vinegar to clean your apartment complex:
Carpet stain removal
Add a teaspoon of vinegar to some warm water and a few drops of detergent. Gently rub in this solution into the stain with a brush or soft cloth. Use another cloth and clean water to remove the solution when the stain is gone.
Cleaning dirt off of wood
Walls or any structures with wood can be cleaned with vinegar as well. Consider using a vinegar solution on venetian blinds. Use a gallon of warm water, ½ cup of vinegar, 1 cup of ammonia, ½ cup of baking soda, and a sponge to remove the dirt that built up on the wood.
All purpose cleaner (with a citrus scent!)
Boil 2-3 cups of vinegar. Pour the solution over some orange or lemon peels in a canning jar. Let this solution sit for a few weeks (2-3). Strain out the peels with a strainer and put the liquid into an empty spray bottle. Use this solution as your all purpose surface cleaner. It’ll smell great!
Kill unwanted plants
If you have some unwanted plants growing on your property, you could kill them using vinegar. For instance, when weeds start to grow between concrete you could use vinegar to remove them. Spray or pour pure white vinegar on top of the plants to kill them.
