Zillow: Why are you successful as a real estate agent?

Bev: I care about people! Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest financial decisions anyone will make. Why wouldn’t a buyer or seller hire someone that truly cares about them, their needs and their goals?

Zillow: What is the best part of your job?

Bev: Making people happy!
For a buyer: Finding the right house and then working with the buyers to get an offer accepted. I enjoy watching them from the initial meeting to retrieving the keys. The smile on their faces, the pure joy is what I live for!
For a seller: Helping sellers prepare to hit the market by finishing projects around the house. They want their home to shine as soon as it’s listed.

Zillow: What is your No. 1 tip for agents starting out on Zillow?

Bev: Build your profile! Clients are reading and studying you! If you have a good profile and have posted several reviews and your sales history, once you are contacted it’s almost a lock to be hired. Clients feel like they know you before you ever arrive for the first appointment.

Zillow: What is the best compliment you’ve ever received from a client?

Bev: “When you decide to buy a house it’s a family decision. Right off the bat Bev made me feel like I was part of her family. She helped guide us through every facet of buying a house. I couldn’t be more impressed with her knowledge or her professionalism. She was there whenever we had a question and I am so impressed with her knowledge of the local markets, honesty and willingness to go the extra mile. Zillow: What are three words clients use to describe you?

Bev: Trustworthy, honest and loyal.

Zillow: When you’re not selling real estate, what do you enjoy in your free time?

Bev: I love my family and my dog! We do everything together. We camp, travel, watch sports and cook. I love to hang out with friends and just chat. I love to spend time at the Oregon Coast — on sunny days of course!

Zillow: How do you stay active in the local community?

Bev: I am a member of the Gresham Chamber of Commerce. I network there as much as I possibly can, meet other members for coffee, and learn about their business and how I can help. It’s easy to support them by frequenting their businesses, restaurants, coffee shops and stores.

I am involved with athletic fundraisers at my sons’ high school (even though they’ve both graduated). Since athletic programs have no funding, I try to infuse some much needed revenue and build quality products for the players.
