There hasn’t been a lot of good news in terms of real estate. These days, if people sell their homes in a short amount of time, it is usually with a price cut or two.

A few homes have sold for a profit, and in the case of Rachel Uchitel’s apartment, that profit was a whopping $330,000. Uchitel bought the New York apartment only a year ago for $1.62 million and lucky for her, median Murray Hill home values are one of the few in the country rising — 3.5 percent year-over-year. The former mistress of golfer Tiger Woods listed the home on the Murray Hills real estate market for $1.95 million, explaining to the New York Daily News:

I renovated it and it’s gorgeous. I don’t live in New York full time, and it’s a good time to sell. Other units are available on my floor, and mine is mint condition and cheaper.”

Uchitel had her first dose of fame when she appeared in a photograph on the front page of the NY Post holding a photo of her fiance who died in the September 11 attacks. From there she moved to Las Vegas, then New York where she was the VIP concierge and director of VIP hospitality at some of the hottest nightclubs. Uchitel was planted firmly in the public’s eye when it was revealed she was Tiger Woods’ number one mistress. Uchitel also had a stint on “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” in 2010.

Uchitel’s Manhattan brownstone was built in 1924 and features hardwood floors and original detailing that Uchitel had restored. The 6-room condo has 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and includes a formal dining room and wood burning fireplace.

With the success of Uchitel’s real estate sale, TMZ says she’s interested in finding more investment properties in hopes of hitting it big again.
