Rascal Flatts guitarist Joe Don Rooney is selling his Tennessee home for $1.68 million, but don’t count on a country song about it. According to People magazine, Rooney called his home “very un-Nashville” after he and his wife, Tiffany Fallon, purchased the property in October 2007.
Regardless, the home’s contemporary interior, set against a pastoral backdrop in Brentwood, TN, makes a dramatic statement. Designed by McAlpine, Booth & Ferrier Interiors, the house is filled with rich earth tones, deep wood finishes and eye-catching chandeliers, giving a Pottery Barn-meets-Vogue feel.
The estate, located at 7 Carmel Ln, Brentwood, TN 37027, has 4 bedrooms and 5 baths — not to mention an elevator, seemingly endless walk-in closets, Rooney’s self-proclaimed “Man Land” basement, a backyard pool and waterfall.
Beyond his for-sale listing, Rooney has made headlines lately for recent public appearances including the Super Bowl and Playboy after-party presented by Crown Royal. The annual gathering is not unfamiliar to Rooney after marrying Fallon, a former Playmate of the Year.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce recently honored Rascal Flatts with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the country-music trio are currently on tour promoting their latest album, “Changed.”
Rooney’s 7,971-square-foot home has an estimated $6,009 monthly payment, assuming 20 percent down on a 30-year fixed mortgage. Marty Warren of Fridrich & Clark Realty is the listing agent for the property.
