Real Estate Advertising on Zillow Just Got Easier
By: Diane Tuman, Zillow Content Manager | June 16, 2009
Unless you do real estate advertising, you probably haven’t noticed our spankin’ new Zillow Advertising Solutions section that we launched last week. What’s nice is that we are pleasantly surprised at its quick return in generating contacts from real estate professionals, so thank you, RE Pros!
If you’re a real estate professional and want to get your name and brand in front of Zillow’s nearly 9 million unique users each month, we applaud your efforts to grow your business. Conveniently, we have geared our advertising solutions for real estate professionals along business specialties:
One avenue of business that is popular among agents is Showcase Advertising. Listen to what one real estate agent has to say:
“I receive more phone calls and emails from Zillow referrals than any other web site. Within days after sponsoring a showcase, I received a listing, which immediately sold, and it just doesn’t get any better than that.”
- Sacramento real estate agent Elizabeth Weintraub
The Zillow Advertising Solutions section also offers some interesting demographic information on Zillow’s audience, which is made up of Zillow users who have a median household income of $90,000+ and a median age of 47. And, to view our tremendous growth, look at Zillow’s traffic over time to see the power of Zillow’s reach.

My wife signed up for Zillow advertising thinking we would get monthly bills. Instead, we got a $720 bill on our credit card. I called to cancel the ad, and zillow refused to do so, as if they had fixed printing costs, when, in fact, removing an ad is incredibly simple. So we got 3 weeks of advertising (without any results). Go ahead and charge us for that, 3 out of 52 weeks. But cancel the ad. Please! and refund our prorata portion of the payment

The key is great advertising, hitting the emotional hotspots, and appealing to the consumer on thier terms. Zillow enables the agent to do so much of this. I wish you guys would come to Canada I would love to use your services in the Calgary real estate market.
