Real Housewives of DC’s Amons Selling McLean, VA Home

Another member of the Real Housewives‘ sorority is in the real estate news, but this time it doesn’t have to do with foreclosure or possible jail time, or potential eviction or a short sale or a loan modification. This time, it’s just a good old-fashioned home for sale. Whew.

According to The Real Estalker, Real Housewives of DC’s Mary Schmidt Amons and her husband, Rich, are selling their McLean, VA home for $2,350,000. Located in the desirable Langley Farms neighborhood, the Amons’ home is a modern center-hall colonial with 5,450 sq ft of living space on 0.34-acres of land. Super-white walls contrast strikingly with the dark hardwood floors and features include box-beamed ceilings, custom moldings, raised-panel walls, and chair railings. It has six bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, kitchen with center island, three fireplaces, a master suite with sitting room and private deck, sun room, library and a loft bedroom. Also included are a stone patio, and four-car garage.

Mary has an interesting pedigree in which she “… spent summers at the Kennedy residences as a child, and is the granddaughter of legendary radio and TV personality Arthur Godfrey.”
