REALTOR’s Technology Roundtable - Ask a Question!
By: Amy Bohutinsky, Zillow VP of Communications | June 4, 2007
As part of its Innovator Series, REALTOR Magazine Online hosted a technology roundtable recently, with execs from Zillow, Yahoo! Real Estate, Trulia, NAR, Realtor.com and others taking part in the discussion, which focused on how tech innovation is changing the real estate landscape. The article is now online.
Lots of great discussion in here around transparency and content, availability of data and listings and predictions for the future. What was the buzz? No surprises, really. But in scanning how many times each of the following words were used, the first three spell out what the story was for the industry in the past year:
"Consumer" — 25 times
"Real estate" — 21 times
"Information" — 20 times
"Data" — 15 times
"Online" — 14 times
"Buyer"– 12 times
"Search" — 10 times
"Technology" — 8 times
"Video" — 8 times
"Seller" — 5 times
"Content — 4 times
"Transparency" — 3 times
Here’s a roster of those who took part in the roundtable, including our own Jorrit Van der Meulen, VP of Partner Relations. Questions can be submitted to any or all the participants through June 8.
