Katy Perry and Russell Brand have both moved on — in their relationships and in their real estate. Perry has dated John Mayer off and on, and dropped $11 million to create a custom compound in Hollywood Hills. Brand briefly dated Hugh Grant ex Jemima Khan and recently bought his own place in L.A. — a 1926 home for $2.224 million, according to the L.A. Times.
Although the British comedian bought in California, the home is strikingly European. Designed by period architect Roy Selden Price, the house looks like something you “might find on the English countryside.”
Despite the period characteristics, the home is all modern with high-end appliances in the kitchen, open and light-filled living spaces and a state-of-the-art media room. A deck takes in views of the city, with room for entertaining. Measuring 4,800 square feet, the 5-bedroom, 6-bath home also includes a separate 1-bedroom, 1-bath guest apartment.
Brand and Perry married in 2010 and separated a year later. Before their split, the pair picked up a stately Spanish-style residence at 8159 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90069. After their divorce was finalized in July 2012, Perry listed the home for sale, but it’s been a tough road. The home recently received a price cut, and Perry is still looking for a cash buyer.
