On ABC’s “Scandal,” she’s known for fixing public figures’ problems, so it’s fitting Darby Stanchfield owns a low-profile bungalow tucked discretely behind a greenbelt in Hollywood Hills.

The Los Angeles home hit the MLS three days ago asking $969,000. This is a steal considering the actress purchased the home for $900,000 seven years ago, and the median Hollywood Hills home value is now well over $1 million.

Stanchfield’s asking price indicates she’s motivated to sell. And with a prime location at 2597 Dearborn Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90068 overlooking the Los Angeles skyline, she shouldn’t have trouble attracting a buyer.

The property includes a 1,608-square-foot main house with an open floor plan, as well as a detached guesthouse. Multiple decks, a new roof, surround sound and raised garden beds are additional selling points of the property.

Stanchfield is an Alaska native, later moving to Dutch Harbor and then Mercer Island just outside Seattle. She’s not the only former Washingtonian who has since migrated to Hollywood Hills; actors Anna Faris and Chris Pratt upgraded to a 4-bedroom above Nichols Canyon in May.

Stanchfield’s acting career took off in the early 2000s, and she’s appeared in more than 40 television shows including “Mad Men,” “NCIS” and “General Hospital.” She’s also played guest roles on “Bones,” “Cold Case,” “Private Practice” and “Castle,” though she’s most known for her role as Abby Whelan, one of Olivia Pope’s “gladiators in suits” on the ABC drama “Scandal.” The show debuted in April 2012 and received top ratings in its second season.
