Seattle experiences minor 4.5-magnitude earthquake

Seattle residents may have been awakened a bit early today when a 4.5-magnitude earthquake gently jostled the area around 5:30 a.m. I personally was not aware of any shaking, rattling, or rolling since I was already up, taking the dog for a walk, so the subtleties of a 4.5 quake would not be felt on the sidewalk. Of course, it all depends on where you were. According to FOXNews, the epicenter was Kingston, WA. Take a look at this shakemap to see the readings in the area.
… it was felt throughout the Puget Sound area in Western Washington, and people reported feeling it in Victoria, British Columbia, 71 miles to the north.
Maybe it’s tied to the geological action going on up north in Alaska where Mount Redoubt is ready to blow its top.

The last time I experienced an earthquake, I thought I was actually dreaming. I awoke to a swishing noise, and looked around, not finding anything, I assumed I was dreaming. It had been an earthquake.
Maybe most other people heard a weird noise, then just went on with their dream…
