Sergei Fedorov Faces Foreclosure on Two Detroit-Area Homes

Earlier this week it was learned former NBA star Antoine Walker faces foreclosure and has filed for bankruptcy. Now another former NHL pro, ex-Detroit Red Wing great Sergei Fedorov, is facing foreclosure on two of his Bloomfield Hills homes, according to The Detroit News.

Fedorov’s Bloomfield Hills home on Huntington Lane is presently on the market for $999,900. Fedorov reportedly owes $1.2 million on the property; he purchased it in 1999 for $1.25 million, according to Zillow’s price history chart. The description on the home details page is a bit ominous:

DO NOT APPROACH HOUSE W/O CONSENT FROM LISTING AGENT. SALE SUBJECT TO SHORT SALE APPROVAL. ALL MEASUREMENTS APPROX. LISTING AGENT HAS KEY, PLEASE CLB FOR SHOWINGS. GATED ENTRY, PRIVATE YARD, FINISHED LL W/ GYM, SAUNA. GREAT LOCATION, SUPURB LOT.

Fedorov’s Bloomfield Hills home on Tiverton Road is not for sale at this time, but he reportedly owes $915,623. The Zestimate® home value is $916,000 at this writing.

Fedorov is allegedly in dispute with a law firm and financial adviser over the loss of $60 million.
