Shaq “The Diesel” Might Help Foreclosure Victims
By: Thomas Brown, Partner Relations Manager | June 18, 2008
Last night, the storied Boston Celtic franchise celebrated its 17th NBA Championship by crushing Kobe
Bryant and the L.A. Lakers 131-92. Meanwhile, Kobe’s former Laker teammate and the man of a thousand nicknames, Shaquille “Shaq” O’Neal, is making news for quite another reason — he’s the newest celebrity to face foreclosure. But this one has a new twist to it.
Unlike the misfortunes befallen other big Hollywood and sports celebs like Ed McMahon, Latrell Sprewell, Evander Holyfield and Jose Canseco, “The Big Aristotle” wants to use his wealth in helping thousands of Orlando area residents who are facing foreclosure.
And taking a cue from last night’s game, he’d better not be a one-man show if he intends to win at this challenge (sorry Kobe).
Read this Shaq thread for comments and reaction.

I dont have a forclosure
But the banks are so tight that I cant even get a loan for a house even with a 30% because of credit report tarnishes….. How are we ever gonna recover in this country? We dont manufacture anything, everything comes from China
and the one thing we did have in home buildings and American Cars are gone….
We need tax relief and not just an 8.00 a week Obama weekly tax rebate. We need corperate taxes eliminated in exchange for job creation. We need Federal taxes eliminated and go to a fair tax system……..
Bring back our companies from CHINA and make it here in the US….

The house we’re renting is up for foreclousure.I think it stinks..The thing is that our landlord didn’t even tell us. Told us that when we did get any notices from the bank send them to his wife,(by the way the house is under his wife’s name)When we got the notice that this house was up for foreclousure we did contact the landlord, his comment? Ah! just ignore the b.s.We’re working with the bank.. FYI: he also has other homes in the area in whice we live in.. So far the sale dates have been put off by the “Lender” now the new sale date is set for 12/1/09.Don’t renters have a fair shot at the landlords that have homes tht are going into foreclosure??? I don’t trust landlords…

What happens to when you put your property is lost to foreclosure because of a predatory loan. Bad loan that was given to you and you cannot find the agent.

Lots of people walked away from there homes because of unaffordable terms, depreciation, and knowing that their principle balance is now much higher then the property value, their investment capital vanished. It’s good to know when to hold them, and when to fold them. that was then, this is now we can still create opportunities to move forward and regain our position, now that homes are more affordable, if your income is good, but your credit not, and you want to purchase income property, funds are available through hedge funds, private investors, pension funds, 35% down payment short term loans, the exit plan would be improved credit.
