Spencer, I told you so!
By: Amy Bohutinsky, Zillow VP of Communications | April 25, 2008
One of the great things about community is that our users constantly keep us on our toes with suggestions, discussions and the occasional off-topic rant.
And in one case today, a member of the Zillow community called out our CFO/VP of Marketing (and my boss) Spencer Rascoff for doing a broadcast interview in a little-too-casual attire. The best part… for me it was the ultimate “I told you so!”. (Though to Spencer’s credit, he is much more apt to wear a jacket than some of our other executives… he just forgot to pack).
What do you think — should Spencer have worn a jacket? A tie? Antler ears? (oh wait, that’s another Zillow exec…)
Wow, this is a fun post to write. Happy Friday, everyone!

I vote jacket, no tie personally. Looks nice without being stuffy.

No tie, ever! I will never again work in a job that requires it. I think it’s getting to the point that you have to wonder what would make someone want to hang a silly little strip of cloth from their neck.
Great post, Amy!

I read this post and was expecting to see him in a t-shirt and shorts - or something similar to that.. He had on a dress shirt with the top two buttons unbuttoned.. I don’t really understand what the big deal is!

I probably would have not noticed if I did not read this post. Its not like he was wearing a tie dye t shirt.
