Former women’s tennis star Steffi Graf was known for her ability to dominate the game on just about any surface, but, to borrow some tennis metaphors — she has foot-faulted and double faulted in her attempts to sell her Miami Beach home.
So, what’s going on with Graf’s home? According to the Zillow Price History chart (below), Steffi bought the home in February 2001 for $1,315,000. She listed it for sale in July 2008 for about $3 million, then lowered the price a year later to $2,925,000, then lowered it again a few months later to $2,750,000. Miamism reports that it was under contract in late 2008, but it didn’t sell and then adds Graf’s “… Hibiscus Island home is obviously stale and needs a marketing pick me up and can you say PRICE REDUCTION?” It’s still listed for sale for $2,750,000.
Graf married tennis star Andre Agassi in October 2001 and together, they purchased a Tiburon, CA home for $23 million and then sold it in 2007 for $20 million to California hedge fund investor Stuart Peterson. Valleywag calls it the “House YouTube Bought”.
