‘The Bachelor’ Executive Producer Martin Hilton Buys in Los Feliz
The people in front of the camera get the glory (and the final rose), but most often it’s the people behind the camera that get the biggest paycheck.
Such is the case with Martin Hilton, executive producer of super popular dating-reality show “The Bachelor.” He joined as a producer in 2003, and has been hooked ever since.
Apparently Hilton likes pseudo-dating shows; his producer credits also include a short-lived show called “The Cougar.” His wife, Elizabeth Hilton, has also had bit roles on shows like “ER” and “Private Practice” with fictional romances of their own.
According to the Real Estalker blog, the two recently dropped $2.75 million on a home previously owned by Julie Hermelin and Mitchell Frank, both veterans of the L.A. music scene. Hermelin made his mark in music video production, while Frank owned the music club that gave the “Foo Fighters” their start.
The property in question is located in Los Feliz and, like many of the homes in the area, is built in a Mediterranean-influenced style. Constructed in 1922, the home sits on a third of an acre adjacent to Laughlin Park. Interior shots and listing details show the home has been completely renovated, with high-end appliances added to the kitchen and an newly opened-floor plan flowing into outdoor living spaces. The 4-bed, 4.5-bath house measures 3,805 square feet.
