The long-reigning king and queen of country music are selling off a bit of their Tennessee kingdom. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have hoisted a 753-acre parcel in Franklin, TN on the market for $20 million. According to Williamson County property records, McGraw and Hill bought it in 2001 as well as a few other surrounding parcels under a trust.
The property has four residences, as well as a 12-stall barn with a caretaker’s apartment.
One of the homes is an Antebellum-style residence with stately white columns and historic features. This estate was previously owned by Hank Williams Sr. According to the listing, the home needs a bit of updating. McGraw and Hill bought this home and its acreage — 400.7 acres — in 2001 for $8.75 million, according to the Real Estalker blog.
Another residence on the estate is a log home, which, according to the listing, has been updated. Built in a Greek revival style in 1850, the home has 3 bedrooms, 4 baths and 3,330 square feet. This is the home at the listing’s address, 4009 Carters Creek Pike, Franklin, TN 37064, although the Carters Creek listing includes all four residences for sale. They bought this parcel, measuring 353.12 acres, in 2001 for a little over $5 million.
The entire property is covered with pastures, spring-fed ponds and rolling hills.
McGraw and Hill may be selling off this enormous parcel of land, but their real estate holdings still remain rather large. Their primary residence is a custom-built home in Nashville. In 2009, they listed another home in the Belle Meade area of Nashville. Previously they owned a home in the Beverly Glen neighborhood of Los Angeles.
