Toni Braxton Faces Foreclosure

By: Sarah Greenleaf, PR Intern | October 14, 2009

Toni Braxton just can’t get a break. After undergoing a very public bankruptcy in the late 90s and heart problems that developed after the birth of her second child, Braxton is facing possible foreclosure, according to TMZ.

Allegedly she owes $12,500 on her Century City, CA mansion. Toni is best known for her song “Un-Break My Heart” and for her unique, low vocals.

Last year, Braxton was a contestant on “Dancing With the Stars” and made it to the 5th round. She has won six Grammys and is a spokesperson for the American Heart Association.

Wow that is very sad. Sounds like she needs to put a other album out as soon as possible. Its only 12 thousand. why cant she pay that.. She makes millions. She should sell one of her cars or houses. marry another rich man and take him for what he gots.. a guy will pay that off for her..

It seems that she has been paying her bills pretty well since her bankruptcy. Does she have some millionaire friends that she could borrow the money from and pay her house off? I would surely hate to see her loose it after all she’s been through. I will be praying for her.

Just say a prayer for her and home circle that in her time she remember how strong prayers are it can move mountain turn trails in trumps. I am prayer for you toni, I been there, but by the grace on God I was able to save my homes. He says seek me and I shall be find ask whatever in my name and it shall be given to you knock and the door would be open. Our father is greater than a foreclosure. Sometimes he wants to release us from burdens to bless us with bigger and better.

Like I even care, Americans are dealing with this every day and poor little Grammy winner got in over her head again, let her go down like all the other deadbeats. Pay your bills people,please!@! Dont over indulge and buy what you cant afford!!

If she is being foreclosed on it does not mean she is losing her house, it means the people or company that really the own the house (hold the note) are kicking the no good borrower out. That being said she is hot and can sing also, so I wish the best for her and her family.

Stop judging people. This woman has a string of medical problems as well as her son being autistic. Who knows, maybe medical bills and care for her son took all her money. You don’t know, so don’t be too quick to judge. You never know what can happened to you in life.

    Hey tony,
I understand that it is a very difficult time for homeowners and Im here to extend a helping hand to you. Facing forclosure can be difficult for the average american however in your case, being a celebrity only makes things much more complicated. We here at the United Law Group may have some solutions on working out a payment plan that you can comfortably afford. Give me a call sometime and we can work out your issues.

P.S. Being that you’re a famous celebrity facing a forclosure… Now how does this make you feel?

There’s the first misconception: She doesn’t make millions. Luckly she made $200,000 for Dancing with the Stars, but she only had one hit and royalty check are becoming few and far in between. Sorry Toni, but as soon as I get my 15,000,000 from Nigeria I’ll bail you out.

    Hi Toni,
Whatever the problem maybe, keep faith in God, and trust and know that He will make a way. Get you a good lawyer and keep your head up. If you ever need a true down home friend from Louisiana, I have that listening ear.
God Bless You and your Family

You would think one would learn after bankruptcy. It doesn’t matter if you’re a celebrity or how much money you have. Don’t buy things you can’t afford, and a 12.5 million dollar mansion is one of them.

Hey; tough luck… Maybe a few commercials (and an accountant might help)! You go girl… to the poor house (like the rest of us).
