Top Viewed for Sale Postings on Zillow

By: Mark Eamer, Director, Business Development | June 21, 2007

School’s out for the summer and that means the kids are home…with you…all day long. To keep the family occupied (and you sane) around the house, consider moving into one of this week’s top viewed for-sale home and partaking in these suggested activities:

  • Encourage your kids to play “old school” outside games (think capture the flag and kick the can) with the neighborhood gang, perhaps in the family friendly neighborhood of Fredericksburg, VA.
  • Enroll in a local summer swim league or move to one of these homes in The Hills, TX or Miami, FL and hold morning practice in your own backyard!
  • Organize a “kids only” camping trip (supervised from the comfort of your kitchen window). The #4 home in Bellevue, WA is my personal favorite for an backyard adventure.

Best of luck to you this summer—school starts up again in a short 90 days!

Not to be a stick-in-the-mud, but isn’t saying a neighborhood is “family friendly” a potential fair housing violation?

    Hi Jim,

We’re obviously not trying to state a discriminatory preference in the sale of that home, or for that matter, any homes in Fredericksburg. In fact, you’ll find the same language used on HUD’s website (http://www.hud.gov/news/focus.cfm?content=2006-05-01.cfm).

I understand that listing agents are taught to avoid some vocabulary altogether and that’s definitely the cautious approach. In reality, however, FHA does not ban the use of specific words but rather pertains to the context of the content used to describe homes that are advertised for sale.

thanks for the clarification. That kills me; I have been trained to talk about the houses rather than the people for fear of violating some fair housing rule. If they’re using it on their site, I would imagine it’s OK, but I’ll bet if I used it and was caught, I’d be facing lawsuits, fines, etc.

Zillow is helping the american consumer by making housing information public and available to maintain a competitive environment in the industry.

You’ll love the results! Think carefully about whether this type of diet will help you lose real weight. girls always want to remain slim. As it seems, the book fit in well. The Original Colon Cleanse What could it be? Those were my questions one or two months back and I found the answers also. I joined my school’s dance club, which catered to beginners and advanced dancers. And for men, this could be a better option.
