Twitter CEO Evan Williams and his wife, Sara, made headlines recently when they listed their SoMa penthouse for $1,498,000. Williams even tweeted about it, figuring it’s better to jump on the social media bandwagon that he helped evolve, 140 letters at a time, rather than ignore it. Evidently, their two-bedroom SoMa home didn’t cut it due to the arrival of their baby boy in August. so they are building a bigger house elsewhere.

However, that “bigger house elsewhere” won’t be ready until 2010, so So, the Williams’ purchased another interim house – one of those cool San Francisco properties in the Noe Valley that is tucked in tight, but full of glorious space and light inside. According to public records, the Williams paid $2.4 million.

He apparently thinks buying temporary housing is worth more than renting it. Maybe this is proof that the real estate market has bounced back.

FYI, we like the courtyard that separates the guest house!

Post modified to reflect Sara and Ev’s clarification that there is no “bigger house elsewhere.” Apologies.
