For the one season he played in Miami, James Posey won an NBA title with the Heat in 2006. But even as the forward moved around the league, he liked south Florida so much that he continued to make laid-back Coconut Grove his home.

Now, though, it appears Posey is looking for a change. After he was let go by the Indiana Pacers last December, it’s unclear whether the 36-year-old defensive specialist will get another shot this NBA season.

With what could be the end of his NBA career, Posey has also listed his tri-level Mediterranean villa at 3471 Main Hwy APT 515, Coconut Grove, FL 33133. Posey bought the 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom, 5,000-sqaure-foot home in 2005 for $2.170 million. It is now listed for $2.195 million.

Just as recently as Sept.10, Posey told local iLove The Grove website that he loved living in the heart of the town. Posey’s home is in The Cloisters, a gated community with 30 single family homes surrounded by groves and access to Biscayne Bay.
