The Collection, an Armani/Casa designed building at 20 Pine St in New York, caught the Grammy-winning eye of Usher. Our records show that Usher (shortened from Usher Raymond) currently resides in a 12,544-sqft mansion in Roswell, GA (pictured above). He purchased the property in 2007 after selling his 5-bedroom estate in Apharetta, CA earlier that year. The NY Post reports that the musician is looking to the Big Apple for a new pad as he was seen house hunting in Manhattan’s Financial District earlier this month. He checked out two 1,800+ sqft condos in the 20 Pine building. The first unit was an 1,832-sqft loft penthouse listed for $2.75 million. The second is rumored to be a 1,829-sqft penthouse with 2-bedrooms, 2-bathroom and an unofficial asking price of $3.1 million. There are several other units available for sale in the luxury condo building, but we are sure it is safe to speculate that Usher will want to be a member of the Collection Club; a complimentary, elite concierge service that is offered to residences above the 25th floor. Other building amenities include several lounges, health club, 24-hour doorman, 60-foot pool and a golf simulation room.
While there hasn’t been any news of the Billboard chart topper leaving his Roswell, GA abode, perhaps he is just snooping for an East Coast piede-e-terre to add to his ever growing R&B empire.
