Vin Baker’s Home Auctioned Off
By: Diane Tuman, Zillow Content Manager | July 16, 2008
Former NBA star Vin Baker (Sonics, Celtics) lost his Durham, CT, home to foreclosure, according to the Hartford Courant [hat tip -- U.S. News & World Report's Luke Mullins] and it was purchased in an auction, which was held on the front steps of the home’s foyer on June 28. The winning bid – and the only bid – was made by U.S. Bank for $2.5 million.
To add insult to injury, it was reported in the Seattle Examiner that Baker also lost his restaurant to foreclosure, Vinnie’s Saybrook Fish House. Add Vin’s home to the list of other celebrities in foreclosure nightmares.

It’s a beautiful property worth much more than 2.5 million. At least for buyers this is a great time!
