I can’t say that I have watched all 18 seasons of MTV’s The Real World religiously; however I have been known on occasion to get sucked into a weekend marathon of the reality series.  Just the other day I saw a preview for The Real World Denver, which starts tonight, and couldn’t help but notice the new digs MTV has put up the seven strangers.  It looks impressive, although I shouldn’t be surprised as the the location is often the most enviable part of the show.

I did a bit of research on the home and discovered that it was originally a nightclub that they turned into the living space. MTV apparently paid around $2.7 million for the location, which is now on the market for $3.3. million.  While we don’t have a Zestimate since it’s technically commercial property, there are some other famous Real World locations that are right up there in terms of property value.

The highest priced location that I found was The Real World Back to New York.  The building has an impressive Zestimate of over $13.1 million. While granted the loft is only part of the building, rent earlier this year was going for $35,000/month!  Next up is thelocation for The Real World Hawaii, which has a Zestimate of $8.2 million for the waterfront property, while The Real World Miami’s location is around $5.3 million. The Real World LA home comes in at a measly $1.5 million.

I, for one would be happy to live in any of these places, but unfortunately they remain well above what I could afford. I am going to go out on a limb and say that most of the cast members of the show are in the same boat. It’s too bad the nicest place some of them will ever live happened to be when they were in their early twenties. But perhaps that is the price you pay for living with seven strangers… picked to live in a house, work together and have their lives taped, to find out what happens, when people stop being polite, and start getting real.

Update on 12/1:
Michael Martin, an agent who represents Real World cast members, is reporting that a deal has been struck to sell the house for $3.3 Million and invest another $600K into the building. This Real World house will become "The Abbey"; a multi-purpose space with offices on the top floors, a lounge on the main floor and a restaurant in the basement.

As a note the Real World Denver house does include a lot of the updated furniture, thus the “slight” incease to 3.3 million.

To book any of the cast members for appearances, perhaps as a new home viewing incentive with all the creative approaches people are making now so their homes get viewed, you can check out http://www.mm-agency.com/
