Zilllow, Zilllow.com, Zilllo, Zillo, Zillo.com, Zillowinc - You’re Looking for Zillow
By: Drew Meyers, Zillow Business Development Specialist | January 16, 2009
There are a number of people who hear about Zillow on the radio, or see a television report that uses our real estate market data, or are told about us through a friend who loves our site (thank you!). But, unless you see it in writing, we see some confusion by people who don’t know how to spell Zillow. So, they go to Google (or Yahoo or MSN/Live for that matter) and enter a random guess to try to find us.
There are a range of spellings that we see as sources of inbound traffic and it’s kind of funny to see the different ways people attempt to spell Zillow. We see Zilllow, Zilllow.com, Zillowinc, Zillo, Zillo.com and even zwillow. And some people go the other way and only use one “l” (i.e., zilo and zilo.com) in their attempt to find us and to get information on home values, mortgage rates, or homes for sale.
However you choose to spell it, it’s Zillow.com that you’re looking for! And if you’re telling your friends about us — and we hope you do — please tell them it’s like “pillow,” but with a Z!
- Stumble it!

I used to value Zillow but it no longer has the sales history (that I could find) so it is no longer any more valuable than any other real estate sales site. Zillow used to be independant, show all public information and provide value to everyone. Now it is only useful for realtors…GIGO

Deborah-
What sales history can’t you find now? We have not removed any of that information from the website.

If anyone is reading this blog, chances are they spelled Zillow correctly.
I noticed some realtors have captured domain names with misspelling.

Ha, what a great way to capture all those visitors who were typing in the wrong name! Write a blog post with all of the “bad” names, and bingo, suddenly those people find your site. Great thinking, Drew!

Drew - try dealing with Avvo vs. Awo.

However it is spelled, we find Zillow useful and a valuable asset in our real estate marketing. Thank you.

Where have all the salesmen gone; long time passing.
I’m retired. I sold homes in the metro areas of Seattle for 43 years. I have over 10000 leads rusting in my garage. –Anyone interested into hitting the bricks? From my experience, selling real estate is a leather and guts business.

Have to agree with debera I’m afraid… this used to be a ‘regular person / user friendly site’, it’s nothing but a realtor useful and sales site now. Virtually useless and impossable for the causual user to do anything useful with such as find the link for you homes current estimated value. All good things must come to and end I guess. Paul

Paul-
Sorry you feel that way. Searching for individual addresses and sale information is still the same as before. Simply type in an address into the search bar. What house are you battling to find that you used to be able to?
Rob on September 29, 2009 4:21 pm
Zillo has NO clue when it comes to their estimates. They had my home up to 542,000 a couple of months ago, and now it’s down to 492,000….It wouldn’t be so bad but my neighbors house is half as nice, and it’s listed @532,000.Not to mention, the inside of my home is filled with marble. hardwood, and granite…0-ClueForZillo.com

I am just upset that I look up an address and then try to look up another one and I get a message that I need to download a player??? Was ok the first time?? Any help out there??
Rob on October 2, 2009 3:36 am
Laurel,
There’s NO help from these LOSERS….You’ll get,”I’m sorry you feel that way”, or “We are sorry you’re not happy”….Instead of actually getting down to whatever problem you’re having…Don’t waste your time with this site…
Best Regards
Robert
