Zillow Adds Google Street View
By: Rebekah Bastian, Senior Program Manager | July 24, 2008
On Tuesday we announced a pretty big milestone – we’re quickly creeping up on 3 million listings, which includes more options for buyers than ever before – including traditional listings, FSBO, Make Me Move, land, new construction and foreclosures.
Today, I am happy to announce a new feature that makes shopping for a home online even more comprehensive – the addition of Google Street View to every home details page in the areas covered by Street View. For those unfamiliar, Google Street View includes panoramic 360-degree photos taken from street level, allowing home buyers to not only get real pictures of the front of the home, but also the view FROM the home – an important consideration that isn’t always apparent until you physically visit a home.
Check out this house listed on Zillow – from the listing photos you can see the inside is clearly beautiful, but what about the outside? Does this home have a direct view into AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, or is it surrounded by noisy sports bars? Click to find out…
