Today, we’re excited to announce the launch of the Zillow Mortgage Marketplace Android App, which provides personalized loan quotes, lender ratings, real-time mortgage rates and mortgage calculators all in one place.

We first brought Zillow Mortgage Marketplace to mobile in June 2011 with the launch of Zillow’s first mortgage app on the iPhone.  Since then, the financial calculators on the Zillow Mortgage Marketplace iPhone App have been used more than 1.5 million times, proving people want access to mortgage and financing information when they are out looking at homes. On Android, we were able to add additional features that take advantage of the unique menu functionality that lets users easily share information such as mortgage rates and loan quotes from every page.

Just like on the iPhone, the Zillow Mortgage Marketplace Android App’s elegant, intuitive design makes it easy for home shoppers to play around with multiple scenarios until they find the home and mortgage combination that best fits their situation. With three different in-app financial calculators, the app also helps give shoppers on-the-go answers to important mortgage and financing questions, such as:

  • How much home can I afford?
  • What would my monthly payment be if I bought this home?
  • Should I refinance?

In addition to the calculators, the app lets home shoppers and owners get personalized loan quotes with low rates from trusted lenders on Zillow Mortgage Marketplace.  Most importantly, this can all be done anonymously – no need to supply any personal contact information.  If and when you are ready to contact a lender – whether it’s to get pre-approved for a loan to buy a home you just toured, or if you just saw real-time mortgage rates drop and you want to lock in a rate – the Zillow Mortgage Marketplace Apps make it easy to contact a lender directly from your Android or iPhone.
