Earlier this week we released a survey that found borrowers were spending less time shopping for a mortgage than they were for a car.
Zillow COO Spencer Rascoff joined Erin Burnett of CNBC’s Street Signs earlier today to talk about the survey and the importance of shopping around for a mortgage. Click on the photo below to go to the video.
The other guest on the program, Prof. Susan Wachter from the Wharton School, talked about how hard it can be for consumers to shop around. Here at Zillow, we’ve been trying to solve some of these problems in the Zillow Mortgage Marketplace, where borrowers can anonymously receive rate quotes (an average of 11 per request), compare lender ratings and find a wealth of information on mortgages.
