My school is generally a good school with good teachers. After the former Principal Tom Lee left it has hit some rough patches. Now with the district lines redrawn a lot of kids that don't care about education are attending Olson. So far my experience has been good. Not everyone is going to have the same opinion but overall it should be rated and seen as a good school.

Great school!!! Our daughter has some attention and focusing issues yet for the first two trimesters of her 6th grade she got great grades due to her hard work but more importantly due to incredible teachers that are there for her. I get my e-mails returned I get my requests for class notes answered when she misses something etc. etc. Kids are held responsible for their work and being motivated and helped. They have a great system of "Target Learning" so each kid knows exactly what to study for a test. They have "Academic Seminars" twice a week where you can come if you did not do well on the test and the material is reviewed and can retake the test when new learning is shown. If you did great on the test they provide extra instruction during Academic Seminar for those kids. Great System!!! Mr. Lee is the best "captain of this great ship" great judgement very involved and kids admire him and listen to him. He is one in his own class. Also if there are any behavioral problems and they know about it they deal with it. Missbehavior distracting other students etc is delt with swiftly. Love this school!! My daughter feels "at home" there. Best Middle School in Bloom.

We have had a great experience so far at Olson Middle School. The principal is very active in the students and how they are treated as well as holding them accountable for actions activities and any projects they may be doing. He is very in tune to what they need to do for their future. The teaching teams work well together to make a great experience.

I love this school! I have gone here for 3 years (This is my third Im in 8th grade). We do so many fun things and I have been in all honors (Math and English) its worth the extra effort to be in them because then you know that you have the ability to do honors in High school. I enjoy having band and spanish and the other exporitories. This is a very rounded school!

With Mr. Tom Lee as the Principal of Olson Middle School for the second of our current three years there (one more year for us) it hits the stars! Thanks to Mr. Lee and the OMS staff! You are doing an awesome job and we are proud to be a part of it! Cougar Pride! ~LB

This schools is the BEST!!! All of those bad reviews are lies!!!!! I go there and I think its the best schools ever! Great teacher great students and great lunches. Most of the kids in my grade (6th) are in honors and the honors classes are hard but are do-able. I love this school and anyone who tells you differently it's just because they don't try hard enough!

I have been going to this school for 2 year and I think this school is ok. Some teacher are really fun to be with others need to have a little more fun and not always talk about them selves. Its also been really hard becuase all of the curriculms have changed like in math and health. So the teachers are new at teaching this. And my math class is the 'Guine Pigs' we dont get it as well as the other math class and when we have a test the class after us always does better and she kinda blames it on us. So maybe the teachers should study the lesson plan a little bit better.

Well I am a student there now. I am in 7th grade and I think from the other reviews that the school has much improved. Sure we still have to share some papers. But that's in every school and since I am a child you may not take me seriously but I love this school I would not go anywhere else. (Maybe get rid of some of my classmates)

Olson Middle School Could be way better. The teachers are nice but the curriculum could be way better. The library is awesome! The librarian is awesome! This school needs to modernize. As the teachers do a great job here the students here have lots more freedom but need to be a bit more controlled. The special Education program needs a lot of work.

Nice school with nice teachers although some of them do not really know how to teach. This school is full of mean kids but also has some really nice ones. Overall my experience with this school has been good but i wish to see some improvments in the future

I had a horrible expierience at this school. It has a new principal and now it is 6-8 but I dont know how much that will change it. I have ADHD and I was in the AP equivelent when i attended this school in 7th and 8th grade. They were inflexable to my learning style and could not help me. I almost failed 8th grade. After that i went to a private high school that treated me much better. Dont get me wrong there were some very great teachers and it was not all bad. But as i have gotten older and learned how education should work i have begun to realize how i was wronged by this school. I have not been back to see if it has changed and i was a student there from 1999-2001 when it was only 7th and 8th grades.
