My daughter is in the Pre-K program here and it has been an amazing experience for her as a student and us as parents. She has learned so much and we have seen so much progress in things like her handwriting and recognizing sight words- it is incredible. Her classroom is such a positive environment. If she needs extra attention she receives it and if ever I have a concern I get a response right away. I am so happy with this school and highly recommend it.

2 of my children has attended Peter Muschal since Kindergarten and my third starts this September in the Preschool. My children has truly flourished and enjoyed their years of learning at Peter Muschal. The teachers are caring and are always looking for ways to make sure each student reaches their full potential!

My son is in his last year at PMS. He has been there since kindergarten and is almost finished 3rd grade. It breaks my heart that he must move on to the upper elementary school because Peter Muschal has been such a big part of our family over the last four years. Their teachers--Miss Brandimarto Mrs. Monaghan Mrs. Wonderlin Mrs. Boggs in particular-- are incredible as are their principals Mr. Chmiel and Ms. Black. My child has blossomed academically and socially. I have all of them to thank. I have no doubt in my mind that they were provided with the most loving and stimulating environment.

Mostly great trachers that care about teaching kids. Principal is involved with everyday goings-on unlike in some schools. Lots of programs for kids needing extra help - great district for that!

This is great school the students learn a lot and get exposed to American History and ethnicity. The only thing they do not learn any other culture beside american and students seems lack knowledge in different ethnicity. Teachers needs to pay more attention on that.

I have taught public school in New Jersey for over 13 years and hold an MA in education. We moved to Bordentown four years ago. My children ages 8 and 6 have flourished in the district. PMS is an excellent school with a wonderful staff to back it up. If there's anyone looking for a great public school give PMS a try!

My experience with Peter Muschal elementary school has been positive. I feel that everyone at this school is like one big happy family. When we moved out of Bordentown and I went to sign my son out everyone from his teacher to the nurse the school secretary and even the principal wished us luck in our new home. The secretary even joked about not 'letting him go'; we weren't even there for a whole year. The school is small enough for the teachers and administrative staff to know all the students. I deeply regret leaving Bordentown and the attention my son received there as opposed to the anonymity at his new school.

My child also has an IEP and auditory challenges. PMS has bent over backwards to make sure my son is getting the proper support in every class. The teachers and staff are wonderful patient and caring. The teachers at PMS let him help out in the class because he can't sit still. He's less stressed out and happy. He loves PMS.

Peter Muschal School is a great school to send your child to. The teachers are very concerned about the education of your child and they are very helpful to you after school hours.

This is the first year my son is in this school. He is in the fourth grade and we love it. He comes home smiling everyday. The teachers he has this year are unbelievable! We moved from a small catholic school in new York and was worried about the switch. I am convinced we made the right descision. The work he is doing is challenging his mind and instead of just getting straight A's he is now working for them. It was difficult the first couple of months but the teachers were patient and worked with both of us. They give him more independance and the ablility to be assertive and think for himself.I am very impressed. Thank you PMS and keep up the good work.

We left this school ending in June of 04. As they (the staff) put it my son had learning difficulties. I expressed to them that at home there is no problem. There answer was maybe we should go to your home & see him read write etc. Very proffesional! anyway we switched to a private school & my son has been bringing home A's & B's - the teachers that are now involved in his education cannot beleive some of the info that the teacher relayed about him having difficulties. PMS has a very poor learnin athomsphere - I am now convinced it was the wrong enviorment for him! there have been many families leaving this school as well for the same reasons.

My experience with Peter Muschal has been extremely positive. My child has special needs and the CST and teachers have in my view bent over backwards to get my child appropriate assistance in the classroom. Parents have to become more involved in their child's education for the system to be a success. Peter Muschal exceeds my expectations. Keep up the good work!

On average my experience has been okay for my child without special needs. However parents stand alone in trying to obtain instruction appropriate programs and support of child with special needs ie Auditory processing. Much difficulty with teachers following individual IEP's and no accountablity for breaches of those legal doucuments. Lacking ability to teach to these children in a multidisplinary approach and only worried about the least they need to do to fullfill state requirements. The feedback from most parents of children with specials needs is that they are not given direction or assistance in what is in the best interest with for the child. Must be assertive in the advocacy of your child.

Peter Muschal School accepts grant money to implement inclusion special education programs. Strong areas include multi-sensory instruction (some teachers-not all) and rapport building with the students. Weak areas are inconsistent follow through with Individual Education Plans (according to state law) insufficient receptivity to student and parent feedback and lack of faculty accountability (especially interpersonally).
