Test Scores by grade

Pennsylvania System of State Assessments (PSSA)

In 2011-2012 Pennsylvania used the Pennsylvania System of State Assessments (PSSA) to test students in grades 3 through 8 and 11 in math and reading, in grades 5, 8 and 11 in writing, and in grades 4, 8 and 11 in science. The results for reading, writing and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The PSSA is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Pennsylvania. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the test.

I moved to WV with my son in Middle school and found the school and its teachers to be slightly out of control and that's when I decided to have my son move back to Brentwood with his father because I knew that it was a good school district. Now in High school he is excelling in all of his classes and is very successful. If that isn't testament for how good of a school this is I don't know what else is!

Brentwood is a wonderful school district with excellent teachers and great resources. Many people believe that such a small district is not worth keeping. I completely disagree.

Its a very good school it is small and the teachers are more available to assist your children when help is need.
