My son just started kindergarden at Swanson. Both his main teacher and assistant teacher are very quick in responding to my emails. This is very important to me because I work full time and I am not available by phone during the day. I feel like I can always be on top of things and not forget or miss anything because the school sends constant reminders. I really feel like the teachers know what they are doing and really care about the kids. I couldn't be happier with my experience so far and would highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a great school.

I have 2 kids and soon will have 3 kids in this school. The teachers were helpful and worked with me to improve academic knowledge of my kids. The best part is that my kids long to go to school each day.

The atmosphere is friendly and positive. However I am not very impressed with the overall academics.

The kids come back from school happy as they are well entertained. The level of academic stimulation is far below of what would be expected from a school with such a high rating. As long as your kid is average he/she will do fine. If you have a bright kid you will be better off staying away from Swanson. Lots of helicopter parents beware if you are not one!

Swanson Elementary is a great school. From the moment you walk through the doors students and parents are made to feel welcome. The Principal makes herself visible at the school. She makes parents feel part of the team at Swanson. I love entering the school and hearing the fun music coming out of the gym while the kids exercise. There are plenty of PTO volunteer clubs and intramurals. The school is kept very clean. There is a nice mix of mature and younger teachers. I can't think of any negatives at Swanson. Truly a great school!

What an amazing school! A well-rounded child is not just Academics. This school's testing performance is A+. Check them out. The school ambience is great from the principal down to the students (and everyone in between). The music and arts program compliment the academic structure; they are fun and challenging. Music offers a choice of band orchestra and chorus participation for the 4th & 5th grader. Performance are encouraging the younger ones to look forward to get their turn. Arts included potter's wheel (unusual offering in the elementary level); P.E. covers most popular sports (individual and team sports) plus rock climbing snowshoeing and dancing. There's also an abundance of extra curricular activities (before & after school) offered by the staff & parent volunteers. Great support from the Principal. Parent volunteer is encouraged and they're second to none. A school-wide Musical Play is in the works and tons of family fun nights!

As parents of a 1st grader at Swanson we are really happy with the school. Our experience has been that the teachers and Principal are willing to listen and spend time with you when there are any concerns. My 1st grader enjoys his Art and Music classes and library visit once a week. They also have talent days every semester that encourages kids to share their talents with the class.

Swanson is a wonderful environment for students teachers and parents! I have enjoyed every minute of having my children there and since we are looking to move (unfortunately out of the district) I am have a difficult time finding a school of equal quality or standards. The staff there has a genuine love for the children and for their jobs. I have worked there as a para-professional for the past three years and I see first hand the superb teaching and guiding that these teachers give the children. My kids will never forget Swanson! I highly recommend this school.

This is one of many Elmbrook School District schools that made it worth moving to the area or us. Our son attends Swanson Elementary and we could not be happier with the cirriculum highly qualified teachers and facitily. The Principle's standard of excellence is carried on through the grades in the staff and atmosphere of this State of the Art School.
