This school was terrible! The teachers did not care the staff were terrible and accused me of plagiarism and cheating by using my phone which I had left at home! The teachers weren't any better either I arrived 2 months before the fcat and my teacher would not even give me a book to study with. They treated the students terrible! There was so many issues at this school I do not understand how there is positive reviews. Will never ever go back to this school.

Oasis Middle School is a horrible school. There is a lack of communication among admins teachers and students. As well as good teachers are leaving the school they are be replaced by teachers who are not properly certified and can not handle the grade level in which they are placed in. Teachers do not know how to create hands on curriculums that reenforce the material taught and many do not even prep for advanced/honors classes. Even though many students have high marks on the FCAT and report cards teachers treat them as if they are 1s and 2s. In my son's math class the teacher is teaching them 1 lesson a day and the teacher will be unable to finish the most important info before his Algebra 1 EOC. My son who is an honors student feels that the teacher does not know the material. BTW This math teacher actually entered after the first quarter replacing a teacher that was leaving. The teacher was hired even though she lacked certification for the job. She replaced a teacher who has majored in Math and was going for a Doctorate in Math. Even though they could not stop the amazing teacher from leaving they could have at least hired an applicant that was certified and knows Algebra 1.

My son is currently a 7th grader in Oasis Middle. He has been in Oasis system since Kindergarten. His ability to grow and excel in his strengths are offered to him with excellent honor classes and challenging assignments yet they still feed and nurture areas he needs to develop in. Its working extremely well for a child that is overachiever in one area and behind in another (due to lack of interest in subject) !!!

Oasis Middle is by no means a bad school. Having said that it is far from excellent too. Teachers send home grammar packages without ever teaching the content first. Homework is not checked for accuracy but only for completion. The kids can put in any answer they want and still get an A. Imagine how hard it is to make your child actually do the work instead of making up some silly answer. This applies to language arts just as it does to math. Many teachers don't bother using Edmodo as a tool of communication but the students as well as parents are expected to constantly do so. We came across some excellent teachers but honestly these were the exceptions to the rule. Parent envolvement is put to an end whenever you dare to criticize anything. The new principal has been great so far and I'm hoping that this school and it's teachers will live up to their true potential.

Absolutely LOVE this school! My 6th grade daughter has had an excellent experience here! The teachers have been wonderful. My daughter has become much more organized and eager to learn. She has developed excellent study habits. The teachers seem to create a "fun" learning environment while emphasizing rules and respect at the same time. I would highly recommend this school!

I always felt this was a good school but did not really get a real appreciation for it till we moved out of Lee County. Even my son noticed the change in education. Oasis is an incredible school with incredible teachers and staff. The education my children received while attending was the best in the area and other cities. Now if you are the type of parent that does not like to get involved with you kids education this is not the school for you. At Oasis teachers keep a close contact with parents and expect the best discipline from their student. They are not baby sitters they are teachers. That's what I want in a school and looks for too. They have an open door policy when addressing the parents concerns. I'm glad to be back and feel lucky that my kids can attend this school again.

I was reading the reviews and wanted to clarify the false information posted above regarding the FCAT scores. In fact Oasis ranked #1 in Lee County and in L.A. and #2 in Math with only two students not passing on the first attempt then passing on the second attempt. The focus of the Cape Charter system is the core knowledge curriculum that progresses into college preparation (qualified students can graduate the High School with up to 30 college credits) and the knowledge needed for real life experiences. The schools are filled with outstanding and caring faculty whose absolute #1 priority is success for each and every student.

My daughter has been in the City Charter School system since she began school and absolutely loves Oasis MS. This is important to me because so many kids at this age hate school. She is being challenged in her classes and continuing to build on her Core Knowledge foundation. The new gifted teacher has big ideas and is excited to be there. When I met all of her teachers at Open House I was impressed with each one's organization and excitement for their subject. We could not have made a better choice for our child.

We love Oasis. We were very nervous about the school system in Florida after moving from Minnesota. It has far exceeded our expectations and would give the best schools in Minnesota a run for their money. My daughter is extremely happy and is now participating in all activities and doing great!

I find this school to be above average.I hated it in 6th but that was just becuase I did not know anyone student tacher or other wise. But the teachers are indeed top notch and the principal is fairly out of contact with us students.I am in 8th grade now and fairly sad to leave the school but happy there is a high school. (Most of the exellent teachers of the middle school are going to be in the high school next year.)

I find the teachers are top notch but the principal is a bit flighty and often makes off the wall remarks to parents about students. I think he is disconnected with the students.

Fantastic school! I am so grateful that it was built and that they have decided to build the high school. I feel my daughter is getting the best education available. Oasis far exceeds my expectations in every way possible. Keep up the great work!

My daugter and son attened this school and I am taking them out for their nextfew years of middle school. I am unimpressed with the education of this school and some of their FCAT scores ranked below the state average. My sixth grade daughter was in their gifted program and did not challenge her skills one bit! I do not recommend this school. Two thumbs down!

How lucky we are to have such a wonderful school in our neighborhood. I attended a Art Museum. I was amazed at all the different media used. I applaud the Art Dept and art teachers.
