School is great in every way however I am very disappointed in the way they handles something. Last spring the school asked father in the area to help assemble a new playground and install it because they did not have the money for it. Then they needed a new parking lot. They could have got a nicely paved parking lot but decided to spend 6 times the amount of money on a brick paver parking lot. Just another example of how our high taxes are being miss-spent. Big disappointment to me.

Carol Stream Elementary opted to use pavers that are ecologically sympathetic to neighbors down hill. These pavers allow rain waters to be absorbed directly into the ground easily . Our school is at the highest point in all of Carol Stream area... but at the same time tthe landscape around the immediate area is like a basin and happens to be the lowest spot in Carol Stream... deeming it a flood zone. Those tax dollars are spent well trust me... everyone within a mile radius is glad for that hill taking on it's own water load. Great Job Carol Stream Elementary working for your community.

Carol Stream Elementary school cares about our children! I notice more confidence than ever in most of the children attending these schools. They also have a fantastic Bully Program which is extremely effective and works like a charm! The pre-care is so great that my daughter doesn't ever want to miss a day even when I have taken the day off! Now that is something! I am so fortunate to have my daughter attend this wonderful school. I am also very grateful for all the teachers Staff and pre-care and after-care teachers for taking such interest in developing our children's lives.
