Teachers are good but Castle Rock Middle School needs a new Admin. They are only concerned with their test scores and they tie their teachers hands with teaching methods that do not work.

Castle Rock schools need a cleansing. Teachers are only concerned with their reviews. Student body is a reflection of the Castle Rock town. Poor standards start at home

Teachers are excellent! They really do love and care for their students. I would recommend this school to everyone!

Could not agree anymore on the comment the parent made on feb 24 2014! Plz let's make a change for the safety and well being of all our children. Bullying harassing and intimidation for the students who go to school to learn and respect others needs to be stopped immediately before more teen suicides or school shootings happen.

Read the papers and ask around. Castle Rock in itself has become a nightmare for school children. With the troubling number of suicides and kids that are cutting themselves you would think that the school system would be doing everything it can to provide a safe learning environment for the kids. Think again. They do absolutely nothing. Suicides and self harming are encouraged between students and the administration and faculty are useless. The counselors are not trained for this and turn tail and run when needed the most. Its astonishing the lack of concern in this school district (Castle Rock especially). Run to a private school or another school district as fast as you can.

Teachers are great! However we had problems with bullying that I think the administration shrugged off.

Love this school! Leadership and teachers are excellent. Very good academic content and pace. The student body is a very nice group of kids. Could not be more happier with Castle Rock Middle!

My daughter just transferred here from one of the feeder elementary schools. They made the transition really easy. She attended New Beginnings and the 1st day was basically just hanging out adjusting and having fun. One thing that she doesn't like at all is team 7C/8A. The teachers are great and she couldn't ask for better. But 7C is completely isolated from the rest of the 7th grade (different floors different lunch different teachers). The 8th graders do not pick on them since they do NOT tolerate bullying. This school is wonderful and she adjusted easily. I couldn't ask for any better!

We are new to the district and to CO this year and I think CRMS is an excellent school. My daughter has fit in and has done very well academically this year.

My granddaughter was a new student at Castle Rock Middle in the fall of 2009. I have had the opportunity to visit the school several times for events my granddaughter was participating in. She has become very active in different activities at CRMS. It was easy for her to make friends and she is excelling academically.

My granddaughter moved from Omaha to Castle Rock in 2009. She made friends right away in school. She had been sad about having to move but has been very happy in Castle Rock Middle School. She is doing very well there and enjoying several activities.

This school is not as bad as these parents state. There is not an immense drug problem. I made friends very easily but cliques are present as they would be in any school. Most teachers are magnificent.

My sons attended this school for a mere month and then I transfered them to a better school. The grading scale of 1-4 is to keep the kids from being hurt by an 'F'. But doesn't provide positive feedback for 'A' students. The administration does not welcome feedback. The principal is very hands-off! The district should be ashamed at the performance in math.

I have not been impressed by this school. The 1-4 grading system is bizarre. I'm used to schools where parent input is sought and welcomed but that is not the case at CRMS. My daughter made friends easily but I've heard from her as well as other parents that there's a pretty serious drug problem at this school. We're looking at transferring to another school for 8th grade.

I absolutely love going to Castle Rock Middle School! Everyone is very friendly and it's so easy to make new friends!!!

We moved to Castle Rock this past summer and have a daughter attending CRMS. Our daughter really enjoys the school and states the kids are very nice. She has had no problems finding new friends. Most of her teacher experiences have been very positive and I'm impressed by how much interaction there is between teacher and parent. I strongly recommend this school.

I am a former student at CRMS and I personally didn't enjoy my time there. Cliques are unbelievably cruel and the teachers decide to go the 'kids will be kids' policy. I only saw the principal around in the halls occasionally but I never heard him speak once the entire 2 years. While the classes were good and I was well prepared for high school the environment is not that great.

I loved the new student orientation program. This allowed all the new Kids to gothe day before school started to learn the school and bond. The majority of my kids friends came from that program. I was really impressed with that special touch. CSMS is a closeknit hands -a school where parents are always present. There is a club or activity for all kids to join. My kids were lucky to join their special cultural diversity club. I really like that most kids can ride their bikes to school. That is great!
