I'm really sorry to have to write a review like this but it's for the children so I have to. I'm a college student majoring in elementary education; I worked with a third grade class last semester and it was like a prison for these kids. There's a reason this school's test scores are so low and it's not the children (who are wonderful I might add). I don't want to speak of all the staff but some of them especially the teacher I worked with are extremely disrespectful to the students. For example I attempted to approach a teacher about a student who was suffering from a very rough home life and she completely disregarded my concern saying "he's (the student) just crazy." Later I learned that the child's family had left the state in an attempt to flee DHS. The students were never allowed to talk not even to ask me a question or they'd suffer the consequences. If they were not standing up straight by the door when asking to use the restroom they were unable to go... etc etc. Johnson Elementary needs serious reform! I will never work in this school nor would I ever send my children to this school. Good luck everyone.
