I feel this school is cold. The teachers are not all that compassionate and the students are not expected to be kind. My children struggled with this greatly! I also felt they don't keep the parents apprised of what is going on in the classroom well enough. They expect these young children to tell there parents everything and send home few letters. Also as someone who moved here from out of state they told me nothing of the system. I had no Idea they wouldn't be sending home grades and that I would have to look them up online. Anything I want to know I have to actively work hard to find out!!! I am not a big fan of this school!

This a great school where the administration and staff truly care about the students. I occasionally volunteer and see the 'behind the scenes' care and concern when students come to the office for help and are greeted with immediate attention and respect. My student is receiving a better education than her older brothers did in private schools in Springfield IL.

This is not a terrific school district if your child has any degree of a special need.

Glenwood offers a good learning environment from special needs to advanced. It is the areas fastest growing town that has not looked into future growth since 1994.
