I absolutely loved my experience as an 8th grader. I am now a sophomore but this school has changed A LOT. I wish it was still as great as before. I wish I could go back it was so much fun!

I do have to give credit to Ames. It prepared me with the tools necessary to succeed in high school. The only aspect of the school that I can ridicule would have to be the math department. In my opinion it was geometry based. Because of that I had a slight step back in freshmen algebra. But now I am taking AP Calculus. There are many rumors that Ames's students turn out bad or they aren't up to par with other CPS counterparts. That is not true. I am a living example. Keep doing what you're doing Ames middle school! Team 5!

I believe this is a pretty good school they have good security and have great teachers. Mr Paycheck is a good understanding person. He helps out the kids and listen when they have a problem. A big sister!

I agree with theparent before my posting. My also suffered from deppression when he went to school there and no one cared. I am glad a new principal has taken over and I am glad my son is out of that school.

Well my child goes to this school. And she has never had a problem. The students help her with her work and if she needs extra help on the homework that they assign she goes up earlier in the mornings and get's help on what she needs. Over all this is a great school. Better than most that she's been in.
