Gordon Tech High School is a beautiful example of a high quality curriculum outstanding opportunities in sports heart diversity that works teachers that give more than 100 percent and a community that helps young people grow into fine adults. I am so happy my children are here!

I used to go to this school. The classes are ok but some teachers don't clearly explain things and are overly sarcastic. The "school spirit" here is played out they expect you to be "peppy". The pep rally's stink. The interior school looks like prison and the lockers are extremely small. The library is decent and you can get work there easily. The students there are somewhat welcoming but socially things get around quickly. The lunch is ok but overpriced. There aren't a lot of after-schools programs and the electives are horrible. Teachers/Faculty give demerits constantly for stupid things. The uniforms policy is strict and you really don't get a sense of freedom or to express yourself you look and feel like a "nub". The sports they offer are basic but other schools in the area offer more sports/electives that are top-notch. Don't go here it's not worth the money.

I am a '63 graduate of this school. I can't speak on how good it is now. but I can say that if I had not gone to GT I would not have turned out the way I did. I and 4 others attended Purdue in engineering and all 5 graduated. I can't even count the number that went to U of I at Champaigne and graduated in engineering. One of my class mates is a math prof at Ohio State. I went on to law school and at 62 am still having a great career as a patent lawyer. I was not the best student at GT but the teachers and the atmosphere gave me confidence and purpose. So a belated--Thank youto GT.

Gordon Tech is an excellent co-ed high school where a parent can rest at ease knowing that his/her child is getting a top notch education as well as the oppurtunity to participate in many sports clubs and activites! GT is currently working on taking their sports teams to the next level! For those who have girls with a passion for volleyball GT just hired a new girl's volleyball coach who also coaches for the travel team- Ace Point Match! The teachers coaches and staff are wonderful people who truly care about each individual student! Because GT is a smaller school you definitely feel that sense of family when you walk down the hallways or attend one of the many home games taking place in GT's gym- Home of the RAMS!! Now with a new and improved front office staff for the 2010-2011 school year-GT's back on the rise!

I truly hate this school ever since freshman year. If I have to explain about this school in one word it will be 'depressing'. The reason why I say that is because They have a very strict dress code policy. This school is dull and plain. Crappy after school programs. You can meet the ghetto-est students there. Pay like $9000 a year so some teachers can slack off. Over expensive lunch. Pep rally is a complete joke. They force you to take religion classes. They give detention so much for stupid little things such as wearing orange undershirt. It feels like a prison there's no freedom at all. There's no interesting people. Basically there's nothing fun about this school. I know I look like I'm complaining but I'm not. I'm just telling you folks the facts about this school because this is what I experience. Don't be fool thinking this is a good school because it's small. It's not!

Incredibly dedicated and creative teaching staff and very caring community. A school where every student has a chance to get involved. They also just started a program for the young ladies...The Young Woman's Leadership Academy' Very interesting and engaging field trips and classes for all levels of learning

Gordon Tech High School is a below avergae school. Many of the teachers show no importance towards students that are struggling with their classes. They only call their parents to notified them that their child is struggeling. However that is all they do. They do not try to help the child improve their grade. Also the school has many things that need to be repaired. One example the library is very old and the books have writting on them or they are torn apart. Also they have computers in the library. However they are filled with virus or there keyboards are missing letters on the keywords. There are many things that the facility need to be improved.

Our family could only afford GT for my first three years of HS. But the results lasted me a life time. Great teachers that truely cared about the advancement of every student showed. This school set me straight on what was needed to excel in life and how to face adversity. I can't thank them enough.

What I like about Gordon Tech is that the teachers care about the students. I have a freshmen at Gordon and when she is maybe slipping alittle I get a personal email from her teacher. I was not sure how I would like Gordon for my child. But many things have made me see that Gordon DOES have your childs best interest at heart. Send your child!! Faculty and administration are wonderful. Fr. Sims the principal/president is a kind and just man!

This school has been a big disappointment. The teachers are average. They present the material but not in an interactive or exciting manner. They really have no support system for struggling students so they ask them to leave and then are able to keep their college rate and graduation rate extremely high. I was told I would receive 1500 in financial aid and that they accepted my son. Then two weeks before school began they told me only my daughter and no financial aid. I was told donors make the decisions and I don't make enough money but if I came from a two income household or made more yearly I would not be a liability and would receive financial aid. The communication has been extremely poor from the beginning except with the counselor. If your teenager needs no attention or guidance then this school may work.

I never fully realized how incredibly valuable the level of high quality education was at Gordon until I graduated. The levels of maturity and intelligence I achieved dwarfed many of my college classmates as well as my coworkers at present. The teachers at Gordon taught more than just curriculum. They taught how to become a contributing member of society....how to adopt morally sound values...how to walk through life taking the roads less traveled. The best years of my life there prepared me for the years to come. Class of 1992.

A school that can provide for any child. Shop classes for those who will not attend college. Advanced classes for those who will go to college. It's also gone coed so young woman can take advantage of the school and it's great facilities.

As a parent of a recent graduate I believe that GTHS prepared my son well for his University experience. I can't comment on the principal as he is new this year. Some teachers and guidance councelors are fantastic while others lack a lot. Having lost 26 teachers this year due to budget cuts and only hiring 5 is heading in the wrong direction. 40 kids in a high school class room is a kin to teaching Kindergarten...chaos! The one thing that needs school and public support is their Fine Arts Department. They have done wonderful things with little to no budget; what could they do with some money?

I am an alumnus from the class of 2000. Gordon Tech gave me the foundation necessary to attend a competitive four year university. Gordon is a very safe and enjoyable place to attend. I can truly say that I miss my high school.
