My daughter attended this school for 3 years. Although she did well academically the emotional drama at this school was tiring. We have moved many times and attended many different schools between our 4 kids and we have never experienced anything like it. The girls are out of control at this school. The administration really needs to step in. Bullying is an issue for almost every girl at this school. My daughter slowly started to withdraw over the years here. I also witnessed a lot of favoritism in sports. The most popular kids in school their "favorites" were able to play on varsity. It was the same group of kids that played varsity for every sport... for all 3 years! even though they lost more than they won the year before they were still chosen again the following years. Most of the coaches knew the parents of these kids well.... so it seems they all grew up in the area together.... not a place for an outsider to really fit it. This school is very "cliquey" with students as well as parents.

This school is not for any child with any learning or behavior issues. We have had 4 kids there and only one has done well 2 horrible and 1 holding his own but bullied a lot. Some teachers care but most are stamping the clock. Getting communication from most teachers is not possible. I was told they don't have time. They don't have time to help with organization to help with education (locker/books etc). Their idea of discipline is send the kid home. And school counselor never returns emails or calls. They actually told me they cannot control what happens in hallways and lunch room. The AP class teachers are much better than other ones. If you have ADHD kid or learning issues or behavior issues avoid this school.

Teachers may be great but this school's administration is only interested in appeasing the teachers' union and kowtowing to obnoxious parents. If you are new parent to the area forget about getting any help or having anyone explain any policies to you. They have a ridiculous ban on latex because some parents threatened to sue--however if your child has a peanut allergy he or she must fend for themselves. Terrible place.

I went to this school for 6th grade and I loved it! I was in the extended core classes and they were awesome! The teachers were so devoted to our education. They always had a creative approach to our subjects. I heard that the normal classes weren't the best but my classes were great. Also I can't say anything about 7th and 8th grade since I moved away. Still the other two middle schools I went to are no where near the caliber of Greenacres' curriculum.

This is a school I'd avoid. The principal staff is only concerned about crowd control and not educating their students. You actually get reprimanded for being a high achiever. There are a few excellent teachers among the chaotic that make it somewhat tolerable though for a middle school student the atmosphere leaves not much to the desirable achievement.

It's a wonderfull and educational school to be at. I should know. I am a student there. The school teaches you not to bully to be nice and tell us an excelent amount of things we shouldn't do(ex Do drugs Drink achohol etc.) and they also tell us things we should do(ex Be nice to others how to be safe etc.). The teachers there are very nice the way they teach makes it fun to learn. They make sure we understand the concept of learning how to complete the homework and they also help us as much as they can if we don't understand the problem. All in all Greenacres Middle School (Home of the Bruins) is an excelent school to go to.

My child has had 3 great years at Greenacres. He went from a miserable elementary school year to 3 fantastic years a GMS. I recommend this school. Get your kids involved. They will love it!

I have had nothing but bad experiences with my daughter at Greenacres. Teachers are inconsistant with keeping on students with assignments and or contacting parents when problems arrise.
