Active parents good teachers and a well run school. Principal seems good and engaging. My child just completed kindergarten and will return for 1st grade. So far we have been pleased. We do question a little bit the pacing of the academic program (I think they could be doing more) but our child seems to be progressing at a good pace (as far as we are told). We are watching it.

Clarksville Elementary School has well organized programs led by a fully engaged principal and actively involved parents. The programs are well thought out and includes a good mix of academic programs and social events. Caring teachers encourage parents to be actively involved during the school day as well as during the various outings (trips). The principal is well respected by both the staff and the kids. He knows most if not all of the kids by name and routinely greets them each morning. The curriculum is as advertised - this school is well deserving of its 'blue ribbon' status.

CES is a very good school academically and many of its teachers and staff members perform their jobs exceptionally well. I give much applause to the parent volunteers and PTA. However I would like to see CES administrators not just pay lip service on their zero tolerance on the issue of bullying.

Difficulties with service and accomodations occur in all schools and I am sure most teachers administrators and parents strive to meet all mandates requirements and accomodations for all students as best as possible.

I am not a parent but a student at Clarksville and I feel this school offers a tremendous education and has excellent teachers. The coment posted earlier about Clarksville not catering to disabled children is false. In fact we are having a disability awareness day next week.

Not all parents feel that CES has provided a good education for their child. CES needs to address concerns and issues for children with disabilities especially those with learning disabilities. Often it is not mentioned that many children with disabilities may be excluded from testing data due to accommodations needed to take the tests. Blue Ribbon schools like CES should include all children.
