We transferred to Clermont last year from another local school. Just by walking in fhe front office we knew we were at the right place. We feel that our children are getting what they need and more from their teachers staff Vice Principal and Principal. To comment on others stating that they don't stress on the arts remember that teachers and school are required to meet certain goals and unfortunately there isn't always time for the art music and language classes. We did love that our previous school had "specials" in art music instruments and language. For the amount of time in between when the class came around again in nine day rotation it was hard for the children to progress quickly and retain. I am coming from music arts & theatre background so it is important for our children to get a well rounded education including sports. The children at the previous school did not get the required amount of state mandated ruling for physical education. In fact some of the teachers were not giving recess or only allowing it only once a week. Physical education classes were part of the "specials" rotation so they were fudging numbers by counting the kids walking to class.

I was worried about the area in which the school was located however once my daughter started school there I was very impressed. Her teacher is always available to parents even giving her cell phone number and calling just to let me know when my daughter is improving. There is a solid network of teachers that all work in giving students what they need. There are a variety of resources available to the students and the teachers utilize these and spend the time needed.

I think ces is fantastic. People need to remember that this is a public elementary school funded by the state which is why there are not that many extra-curricular activities available. Ms caple (principal) is actively concerned for each child on campus and always makes herself available to parents ~ it is obvious that she is passionate about her ces children. I ask my son each day how school was and his most common response is 'awesome!' ~ coming from a private school I was very nervous but there was no need to be. Ces is a fantastic school unfortunately due to location it has a poor reputation...But in three years there have been no incidents to speak of. Drop your children off and know that they will be learning and loving every minute of it.

My grandson and granddaughter attended. It is a nice school that needs more extracurricular activity.

Three of my children have attended Clermont Elementary. I have been very impressed with the quality of teachers at the school. The teachers have a real concern for each child and put a lot of their own time into their preparation. The staff is very personable and each have a genuie concern for the school and the children. Clermont Elementary has felt like a family over the past 8 years I have had children attending there. They are proactive about trying new techniques and finding grants to meet educational objectives set for the children. They also have helped the students to keep up with all the new technology that is available and use it in helping to meet educational needs. I have had the opportunity to try a local charter school but I have not had the desire to do so. My family and I have enjoyed our experience here.

This school has a very family feeling. I request an out of zone waiver for my children to go here. Do'nt let the older buildings and neighborhoods deter you.

My daughter enjoys this school very much. We just transfered here and she enjoys it much more than her old school. I wish there was more of any emphasis on art and music.

This school is severely lacking in performance art instruction. Their focus seems to be on making each student identical in attire instruction and in teaching methods instead of encouraging the unique attributes of each student. The art teacher pushes around a cart to each classroom for instruction which is held on a weekly basis. There is no sports music or other extracurricular activities for the students and recess is limited to 10 minutes after lunch. I am not impressed with this schools approach to learning.
